General Policies

  1. Please arrive for class no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled class time.  This is especially important for younger children as up to 45 minutes of non-stop class activities is very taxing.  Coming more than 10 minutes early will cause them to grow weary during the last half of the class.  Please be on time for Imagine That! sharing time at end of class.
  2. Class will start promptly.  Toys/instruments will be out for the children to play with at the start of the class, but we put the instruments away within a few minutes of start time.  Please try your best not to be late.  Please be paying attention to your child while playing with toys/instruments so they do not harm themselves or others.
  3.  If your child is toilet trained, and it is their normal routine to have to use the bathroom close to or during class, make a trip to the bathroom before class.
  4. Please dress your child (and you) in comfortable clothes to allow for ease of movement.  We remove our shoes for class and the floor is carpeted in the room.  We do a lot a moving around on the floor and throughout the room so dresses may be cumbersome for the girls and moms.
  5.  If you choose to take a vacation or miss class for reasons other than illness, it is your choice whether you would like to switch into another class for that week.  Arrangements for switching into another class must be made in advance with my confirmation.  Making up a class in this fashion is done on a first-come first-served basis.  Three switched classes per semester are the maximum allowed per student.
  6. Please no food, drinks, gum or candy.  Children will not have snacks or drinks during class unless planned as part of the lesson.  It is very hard for younger children to watch others eat or drink.  Please be sensitive to others around you.  Also, The Jewish Federation building is a kosher building.  Our section of the building is the dairy section.  No meat products are allowed in this area.
  7.  Please do your best to encourage that toys be left in the car while we are in class.  It is important to set the rules early and follow-through with them.  They will push you to your limit 2 or 3 times, but then will learn what is acceptable and what isn't.
  8.  If you have another child participating in K' Ton Ton at Jewish Federation, please do not disrupt the class by looking in the window to see your child.  Please stay by the Kindermusik room.
  9. No RUNNING in class please.  Please stress to your child that we use walking feet and inside voices during class.  If one child starts to run, then the others will want to follow.  We want to avoid bumping heads.
  10.  Cell phones:  Please be sure to turn off your phones during class time.  Thanks.

  • Look at the URL (website address) in your browser. If you are connected to a secure server, the URL will always begin with "https" rather than "http."
  • Most browsers display an icon that indicates whether or not you have a secure connection. Look for the unbroken key or closed lock icons in the bottom left or right corner of your browsers.
